Presentation Abstracts:

The Value of Social Networks in Your Organization - Steven Jackson

Modern organizational structures are volatile, disparate and complex due to economic upheaval, boomer exits, technology infusion and global business trends. The result is a population and a workforce that is trying to work and function while riding a tsunami of change and information influx. This presentation discusses a recent study of the impacts of these changes on the social and knowledge networks that connect us as workers and people.

Oracle's Anatomy: Oracle Architecture and Concepts - Bonnie Bizzaro

Do you ever wonder why there is an “undo” tablespace and “redo” logs
instead of “undo” logs and a “redo” tablespace? Do you want to know when
these are written to and what they are used for? What about those memory
structures? There are “areas”, “pools”, “caches”, and “queues”… how are
they different? And when are changes actually written to disk? This
knowledge is the foundation for a successful career as a Database
Administrator. Attend this session to learn Oracle database concepts and
architecture.
